The Think Tank
Eric, age 26, started to wonder why he felt so different from his peers from a young age, as early as seven years old. He earned himself a degree from Georgia Perimeter College as well as Oglethorpe University, the latter in American
Studies, and as of now is unsure what he wants to do with it. He enjoys drawing, playing video games, and is skilled at editing wikis. You can check out his original artwork at otnesse.deviantart.com
Abigail is 17 years old. She currently attends Brigham Young University’s Advanced Online High School. Her hobbies include participating in western horsemanship, traveling the world (she has already been on five of the seven continents and plans to set foot on all seven by the age of twenty), and keeping Max in line…... although struggling at that. She also dabbles in photography and has won three competitions so far. She was diagnosed with Asperger’s right before starting middle school and has not quite figured out what that means for her. But she is working on it.
At the Think!Tank, run in conjunction with Resource Education Solutions, we understand the value of reliable, meaningful friendships in a sometimes confusing and overwhelming world. The Think!Tank offers a small group where each participant feels comfortable and confident enough to share their weekly goals and concerns in a constructive and respectful manner. Everyone involved in weekly meetings where we discuss Asperger's and our daily lives will take turns giving out advice and developing a greater understanding of perspectives not just limited to their peers but also to the outside world around them.
Max, 19 years old, currently attends Georgia Perimeter College. He's a total nerd who excels at Pokémon and annoying Simon. His interests include television and Minecraft. He was diagnosed with Asperger’s in 2012 while attending boarding school in North Carolina. He also works as a manager at McDonalds.
